Medha Manchekar earned her B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai, India, and M.Sc. in Life Sciences from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India. She earned her Ph.D. in Biological Science at Auburn University. She was involved in research studying the assembly, secretion, and biology of apolipoprotein B, the major structural protein of LDL, containing lipoproteins at the Atherosclerosis Research Unit, Department of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her expertise includes molecular biology, establishing stable mammalian cell lines expressing mutant proteins, protein detection and purification techniques.
Michael R. Frost earned a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry from The University of Dundee, Scotland, U.K. and a Ph.D. from The University of Wales, Cardiff, Wales, U.K. Following a post-doctoral position at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Kowloon, Hong Kong, he joined The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he held both research and faculty positions. Mike has over 25 years of research experience in the fields of molecular biology, proteomics, and microbiology, primarily in assay development and validation. Mike joined SunFire Bio in February 2021.
